Cliffmas Carols delights audience for a good cause

Gareth Cliff, the 5FM breakfast team and a host of musical friends delighted the audience of Cliffmas Carols at Montecasino's Outdoor Piazza in support of Headway Gauteng.

Headway Gauteng is a welfare organisation dedicated to offering various support programmes to survivors of brain injuries and their families.

Cliff hosted the show which featured musicians DJ Wags, the Soweto Gospel Choir, Danny K and Cito. The 5FM breakfast team did a funny impersonation of Christmas music legends, Boney M while 5FM producer, Damon Kalvari belted out Ice-cream and beef, a modern humorous carol about Christmas feasting. SA Idols second runner-up, Sonke Mazibuko gave a special surprise performance which had children and adults alike, dancing and clapping their hands.

The show ended with just minutes to spare before a big storm put a dampener on festivities.

Cliffmas Carols raised R60 000 in ticket sales for Headway Gauteng.

Audiences walked away filled with festive spirit and happy to have contributed to a worthy cause.
