Builders Warehouse murderers convicted
On 22 February just after 6am a business robbery took place at Builders Warehouse in Rivonia Road.
A client who was waiting outside the business was fatally shot during the robbery.
One suspect was arrested by the uniform branch of Sandton police and the detective branch arrested his accomplice shortly thereafter.
Sergeant Nkhumeleni Mamilasigidi of the Sandton Detective Branch was allocated the case for further investigation.
His hard work and dedication paid off when the two suspects were convicted in the Johannesburg High Court. They were each sentenced to 15 years for robbery, life for murder, five years for possession of an unlicensed firearm and 18 months for contravention of the Firearms Control Act.
