Plans to revive netball in Region E
ALEXANDRA - A new structure that is aimed at improving netball in Alex has been formed.
Plans to revive netball in and around Alexandra are going well.
This comes after the formation of the Region E Netball structure which is aimed at taking netball to new heights. The structure will work tirelessly to make netball a respected sporting code in the area.
Percy Ndaba, chairperson of the Greater Alexandra Sports Council said netball in Alex was not exactly where it should be.
“Netball is currently not that good here, it is not effective,” he said. “We are hoping to get more people and teams involved. The focus will not just be in Alex but in other regions as well.”
Ndaba said they wanted to start at schools and get young children involved who will hopefully move on to club level netball.
