Smit wins cycle challenge

WATERFALL ESTATE - The winner of the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge has crossed the finish line.

Willie Smit finished the 94.7km race around Johannesburg in two hours, eight minutes and 42 seconds.

The Team Bonitas rider was followed by his team-mate Herman Fouche in second place.

The fastest woman to finish the race was Ashleigh Moolam with Sharon Laws in second place and Anriette Schoeman in third place.

The race ended at Waterfall Country Estate.

Meanwhile, other cyclists are still competing in the race around Johannesburg.
