100 Women 100 wines winners
A hundred women were invited to select their favourite wines to be stocked at a nationwide liquor outlet.
They swirled, sniffed, and tasted different wines that ranged from Chardonnay to Pinotage; Sauvignon Blanc to Methode Cap Classique, and placed stickers on particular bottles they enjoyed.
The all-female judges were part of the 100 Women 100 Wines judging panel, and 267 wine entries were selected to take part in the event on 1 November at The Maslow Hotel.
Hosted by Clare Mack of Spill Communications, the event allowed women to take part in tasting wines from different themed tables, such as Winter Warmer, Summer Sipping, Pasta Party, and Long Lunches.
Mack said the women were very enthusiastic and took the judging seriously .
“They gave us a good response and had a great opportunity to taste different styles of wines,” said Mack.
“Next year, we plan to hold it outdoors at the hotel, with more of a garden party theme.”
