Morningside residents cannot function without water

MORNINGSIDE residents have experienced low volumes of water in their homes for the past month.

Morningside resident, Zainab Goondiwala expressed her frustration.

“The water comes back around 3pm daily, but the taps trickle water,” said Goondiwala.

Another Morningside resident, Moss Leoka said, “Our complex has been experiencing water problems. I’ve suffered a lot because I often leave home after 11am and find I cannot shower.”

According to Ward 91 councillor Andrew Stewart, Joburg Water upgraded the pipes in the Morningside area on 2 October and the water pressure should be fixed.
