Kelly Khumalo to appear in Court

JOBURG - Afro-pop singer Kelly Khumalo and her sister who were arrested for assault in Hillbrow on 8 October are expected to appear at the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court.

Afro-pop singer Kelly Khumalo and her sister who were arrested for assault in Hillbrow on 8 October are expected to appear at the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court.

According to police Khumalo and her sister were called by the investigation officer to come to Hillbrow police station for allegedly assaulting the wife of Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa. Police spokesperson Constable Mduduzi Zondo said duos was arrested. He said, “This followed a thorough police investigation to the charges that

were laid against Khumalo and her sister on 27 August.”

Zondo said Khumalo’s car was following Meyiwa’s wife, Mandisa’s car and on the Empire Road they nearly bumped to each other. He said, “Mandisa stopped her car and Khumalo followed suit, she then went to Mandisa’s car and she allegedly assaulted her with bare hands and the car keys and her (Khumalo) sister, who was sitting in the car joined in.”
