Residents need to stand together

As government is perceived to be doing less and less, residents are now standing together doing more and more. Many of the suburbs in my ward either have active residents associations or are part of a central business district structure. I thank all of them for the good work being done in Ward 102.

Maybe now is the time for suburbs with no association or committee to consider forming one. As Margaret Mead once said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has”. 

Should a suburb have such, perhaps it’s imperative that residents step up and offer their services. Don’t get caught moaning without providing assistance to the solution of a problem. Even if it is in a small way.
