Strike leaves Joburg in the dark
JOBURG - Some Joburg residents were left in the dark after City Power employees downed tools on 4 September and refused to work after hours.

According to Moneyweb, spokesperson of City Power Louis Pieterse said the organisation was in the process of introducing shifts to its work rosters to improve service delivery.
Pieterse told Moneyweb the power outages in Joburg were widespread and City Power was experiencing some delays in response and restoration times. He said contractors had been appointed to restore power in affected areas.
