Police warn of another blue light car

THE Bramley police have issued a warning about another vehicle committing crimes with the use of blue lights to imitate police.

Bramley police spokesperson Warrant officer Moses Maphakela said there had been a recent incident on Sandton Drive near Sandton City shopping centre involving a white BMW three series, a new model, using blue lights, in which a man had been robbed of his firearm. He said that it was suspected that the suspects that had been using a a black Golf GTI, featured in Police give a warning, week ending 28 June, had changed vehicles and were now using the BMW.

Sandton police spokesperson Captain Kym Cloete confirmed the warning about the BMW and the suspected link to the Golf GTI.

Maphakela said the public must be aware of suspicious vehicles following them. He advised the public not to stop if they see the white BMW tailing them, and rather to drive to the nearest police station, service station or public place.
