SANDTON – The South African Depression and Anxiety Group raises awareness on mental health this #WorldMentalHealthDay.


World Mental Health Day is observed today,  10 October, to raise awareness on mental health.  This year’s theme is ‘suicide prevention’. 

On Wednesday, 9 October,  the South African Depression and Anxiety Group hosted a World Mental Health Day discussion at The Capital Hotel in Sandton.  Sandton Chronicle journalist, Sarah Koning, attended the briefing.

The panel at the discussion included forensic mental health consultant, Dr Martin Kassen, forensic psychiatrist Dr Larissa Panieri-Peter, Cassey Chambers, operations director of Sadag and general practitioner,  Dr Sindi van Zyl.
