Man falls through a construction roof

SANDTON – The man sustained multiple fractures and possible internal injuries.


According to a released statement by Russel Meiring from the communications office of ER24, a man, believed to be in his 50s, sustained critical injuries when he fell approximately 8m through a roof at a construction site near Sunninghill this afternoon.

“Shortly after 12pm, paramedics from ER24 arrived at the site in Barbeque Downs where they found the man lying on a concrete floor. He had sustained multiple fractures and possible internal injuries,” said Meiring.

He added that paramedics stabilised the injured man on the scene and later rushed him to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known.
