The Free State Madeira Flower Festival is so blooming marvelous it’s definitely worth the drive.
You just can’t afford to miss one of the biggest flower parades of the year! This showcase attracts thousands of flower lovers to the picturesque town of Parys.
There will be magnificent floats created using a whopping 200 000 flowers. If last year is anything to go by, the Dipalesa parade is not to be missed! It will feature dancers, local based majorettes, giant puppets, marchers from Epilepsy SA, bikers and vintage cars. In celebration of the lives of Nelson Mandela and Mama Albertina Sisulu, the flower artists will be designing flower carpets portraying the two icons.
This highly anticipated festival is set to be in full bloom on 7 and 8 December 2018. See you there!
