Hyde Park High cricket stars awarded full colours

SANDTON – Two cricket stars at Hyde Park High School were awarded full colours for cricket.

 

Hyde Park High School held a colour award assembly on the last day of term one.

Cairan O’Connor received his full cricket colours and Andrew Ingman was re-awarded his full colours for cricket. Both were recognised by headmaster Manolis Vogiatzis for bringing kudos to their sport and their outstanding season.

O’Connor was awarded for his brilliant bowling during the season, taking 25 wickets at an average of 11.7 runs per wicket. His best bowling figures were 6/25 runs in the match against Linden Hoerskool.

Ingman was re-awarded for his record-breaking season of 1 229 runs which included five centuries, and two five-wicket hauls.
