WATCH: Celebrate World Wildlife Day by learning about Saving the Survivors project

JOBURG – Watch this heart-warming video as you mark World Wildlife Day.

Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) said in a statement that it commemorated World Wildlife Day today (3 March) through its continued support of Saving the Survivors, a conservation project that provides specialised veterinary treatment to both endangered wildlife and non-endangered species.

The statement read, in part, that, established in 2012 by veterinarian Dr Johan Marais, Saving the Survivors’ main focus is caring for rhinos which have fallen victim to poaching and other traumatic incidents. Fulfilling its promise of “creating hope from hurt”, the project has directly saved over 250 rhinos, and indirectly it has saved hundreds more, via the training of other vets through its workshops.
