Tabitha Cairns, principal of Junior College Preschool Sandton said it is important for children to should enjoy reading. “Encouraging children to love reading from a young age is beneficial to their early childhood development.

“Reading exercises their brains, improves their vocabulary and language skills, develops and stimulates a child’s imagination and teaches the child to have a sense of empathy.”
