Sandton police officers made a total of 89 arrests for various offenses across Sandton over the past week.

The arrests were as follows:

• 16 for driving under the influence
• 20 for theft
• 14 for possession of drugs
• 1 for business robbery
• 2 for malicious damage to property
• 1 for extortion
• 5 for fraud
• 5 for assault
• 4 for armed robbery
• 2 for trespassing
• 2 for possession of stolen motor vehicle
• 1 for attempted robbery
• 1 for reckless and negligent driving
• 13 for shoplifting.
