The Sandton SPCA has a number of precious pets up for adoption this week. Please note that there is a fee attached which covers the cost of vaccinations, deworming and sterilising. there will be a home inspection before an animal can be adopted.
Chiko is an eight-month-old male dog. He had two paws out the front door, and was ready to jump into his new family’s car when the plans went awry. It wasn’t his fault at all – but now he is back to square one looking for a family that can take him home ‘for real’ this time.
Piper is a four-month-old male cat. He has the most beautiful colour, loves people and is super playful. He is going to be snapped up in a day or two, so if you like the look of him, don’t delay.
Puppies. There is an interesting variety of puppies at the Sandton SPCA – small, medium and large. White, black and brown… but all equally adorable. Puppies, not your thing? We also have kittens.
This eight-week-old female kitten is new to the Sandton SPCA and has not received a name yet. Her serious expression and ginger tail and ears just made us fall in love with her.
Bunny is a two-year-old female dog. Her start to life hasn’t been a loving one – she is extremely shy and wary of people but has never shown an inch of aggression. She needs a little coaxing to get her out of her kennel but once she is close to you she adores being loved, cuddled and kissed. She is great with other dogs and seems unphased by cats. Given a few days in a loving home to thaw out in her own time, she will be the biggest loving lapdog ever.
Obie is a four-year-old large dog guaranteed to make you feel safe. He may look like a big brute, but deep down he’s a marshmallow. This fluffy giant with his deep brown eyes is very gentle. On Mandela Day, he was walked by some small boys and behaved like a true gentleman.
