Brigadier Egen Moodley, station commander at the Sandton Police Station said, the victim was followed into his driveway by suspects who were driving a blue Huyndai IX35. “They forced the victim into the house and demanded jewellery and safes.”
“The victim pressed the his panic button and 24/7 security responded.”
Moodley said the suspects fled on foot. Jumping over walls but were chased and arrested.
He continued that one of the suspects driving the Huyndai managed to get away.
“The suspects took some property which was recovered on sixth street which includes a laptop and a female’s watch.
A firearm was with the serial number filed off was recovered by the K9 unit. “A charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm will be added,” Moodley ended.
