BRAAMFONTEIN - Suspicious parcel found at Wits West Campus
Wits University Senior Communications Officer Shirona Patel has confirmed that a ”suspicious looking” parcel was found at the university premises this afternoon.
”A suspicious parcel was found in the FNB building by security this afternoon. The building was evacuated. It turned out to be a fire-cracker. The sniffer dogs were on the scene and the police are investigating it.”
Two weeks ago, security officials found three petrol bombs on the same campus which were safely removed by police.
