Hyde Park High School athletes stood their ground and achieved good results at the Prestige Athletics Meeting.
A large group of the school’s athletes qualified for the athletics meeting at the Germiston Stadium which featured more than 20 schools.

Manolis Vogiatzis, the headmaster of Hyde Park High School, congratulated Ronan Jenkins who won silver in the U16 1 500m race.
“The race was challenging and he ran a strategic plan which paid off with his placing,” Vogiatzis said.
Hyde Park pupils Bill Qubeka, Gareth Wicks, Tshepang Kolisa and Mikyle Varaathaiah achieved bronze medals in the U17 100m relay race and Lucky Ramogale won bronze in the U14 boys 1 500m race.
