Winter is coming to an end and we can now celebrate all the fun things that we can do in Joburg in spring!
WARMING RUN: Parkrun is all the rage, but not in winter. The onset of spring means working on your summer body, and what better way to do it than taking part in a Parkrun where you can track your best running times, or walk for fun, or even take your pooch for a walk on a safe trail.
DIPPING IN THE POOL: Poolside in Maboneng will be the place to be in spring and summer. It’s the perfect spot to catch some rays, take a cooling swim and get some great food and drinks, too.
THE VIEWS: In the eagerly-awaited spring, you can visit the new Agog Gallery in Maboneng and check out the breathtaking views of the city from the rooftop whiskey bar.
EXPLORING: In spring Joburg-lovers can look forward to rising early in the morning and taking a tour of the city with other like-minded people on one of the many Instawalks that take place over the weekend.
PICNIC IN THE CITY: Newtown Junction offers lovers of ‘chill’ the chance to join in on the weekly Picnic Newtown every Saturday. Take your baskets, food and drinks, and enjoy the company of other Joburgers who are looking to relax and unwind.
