BREAKING NEWS: ANC councillor passes away
JOHANNESBURG - An elected ANC councillor who collapsed at City Council has passed away.
The councillor, who was elected into council in this year’s election, collapse during the mayoral election in the afternoon and was taken out.

The councillor’s passing was announced following the appointment of DA member Vasco da Gama as the speaker of Johannesburg City council.
City spokesperson Nthatisi Modingoane said the ANC councillor who collapsed earlier has sadly passed away.
“She struggled to breathe and then collapsed. We tried to resuscitate her but she didn’t make it,” said Modingoane.
