Police urge public to report illegal firearms

SANDTON - Sandton police officers are appealing to community members to report anyone in possession of illegal firearms.

Spokesperson for Sandton Police Station, Warrant officer Moses Maphakela said, “If any residents know of anyone who is in possession of an illegal firearm, they should report it to the police.

“A lot of these illegal guns are used in violent crimes and we are asking the community to assist us.”
