Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Sandton Police Station said an officer on duty was alerted to the stolen vehicle in his area of patrol.
“A case had already been opened with the Sandton police, the vehicle had been stolen in Sandringham,” he added.
Maphakela said the officer stopped the vehicle in Morningside along Rivonia Road and arrested the suspect who was driving the vehicle.
He was detained in the holding cells at the Sandton Police Station and is expected to appear in court soon.
