This according to the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000 which stipulates that the application to renew the firearm must be ‘accompanied by such information as may be prescribed’.
The act states that firearm owners must submit the renewal application at their local police station and it must be delivered to the designated firearms officer responsible for the area.
