First Hope meeting, a hit
BUCCLEUCH – The first Honour Our Precious Elders (Hope) social gathering for this year was off to a good start on 26 January at the New Church in Buccleuch with many new faces present.
The meeting also saw various topics discussed, including outreach programmes created by residents, as well as new ideas for community projects.
The socials take place every second week and were started by the Buccleuch Residents’ Action Community as a way for elderly residents to socialise and network. The social is open to residents aged 55 and above residing in the Buccleuch area.
The next meeting is scheduled to take place on 9 February at the New Church and will start at 6.30pm.
