Sandton police bust 30 for various offences

SANDTON – A total of 30 suspects were arrested over the past few weeks by Sandton police for numerous offences ranging from theft, assault, fraud and shoplifting. All were detained in Sandton Police Station cells.

 

Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for Sandton police, confirmed that seven suspects were arrested for theft while six were arrested for shoplifting.

“The police also arrested 11 people for assault, with nine arrested for assault with the intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, and two for common assault,” Maphakela said.

Meanwhile, three suspects were arrested for possession of dagga while two more were arrested for trespassing and malicious damage to property.

The suspects will appear in court soon.
