Crawford pupils strike a pose

SANDTON - The Grade 7 class of Crawford Preparatory Sandton dressed up and struck a pose at the school’s annual fashion show with the theme, Night and Stars.

Spokesperson for the school, Kumari Lewis said, “The event was hosted by Grade 7 students, Jaime Katz and Hlumelo Notshe, and they did a sterling job. The students had to name their collections, identify the target market and walk the runway.”

The school’s Grade 3s also showed off their recycling design collection, making beautiful clothing from items such as paper and empty crisp packets.

Guest speakers, Jacques van der Merwe, a Lisof School of Fashion student and Old Crawfordian, and Miss Teen World, Katlego Ncala, wished the pupils well for their upcoming exams and encouraged them to enjoy the last month of their primary school years.

School principal, Gordon Ewen thanked everyone who contributed to the event and wished the Grade 7s well as they would be going to high school next year.
