Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, spokesperson for the Sandton police said the car was found along Bryanston Drive with the baby inside. He said no one was injured from the incident, however, at the moment it is unknown whether anything else was taken.
“The mother was approached by three suspects and threatened with a scissor,” explained Maphakela.
He said the suspects removed the mother from the car, a Nissan Tiida, and drove off with the baby inside. “The mother was traumatised and was unable to tell the police exactly what happened,” added Maphakela.
A case has been opened with the Sandton police and an investigation is underway.
