Two taxi crashes on M1 North, 27 injured
SANDTON - On the morning of 9 September emergency services responded to reports of two serious taxi accidents less than a kilometre apart on the M1 North after Grayston Drive in Sandton.
According to Emer-G-Med, the first incident involved a taxi and four cars. The taxi rolled during the collision.
14 people sustained minor to moderate injuries in the collision. Patients were treated on scene before being transported to hospital for further treatment.

Less than a kilometre up the road, another taxi accident occurred leaving one person critical and 12 people with minor to moderate injuries.
The taxi had collided with a barrier and another vehicle.
Paramedics stabilised patients on-scene before transporting them to nearby hospitals for further medical treatment.
There are reportedly still heavy delays on the M1 North, with traffic building up from Braamfontein.
Motorists are urged to avoid the route if possible.
