How trees show us love

This year’s National Arbour Week theme is Forests and People.

Trees give us clean air

They absorb odours and pollutant gases such as carbon dioxide, and also filter particulates by trapping them into their leaves and barks.

Provide oxygen

By converting carbon dioxide into clean water and oxygen and releasing it into the atmosphere.

Control noise pollution

If trees are planted strategically in a noisy neighbourhood they can decrease traffic or airport noise.

Give us shade

On those very hot summer days, we all looking for a way to cool down. Sitting under a tree not only provides you with shade but also cools you down. Saving you some money and no need for air conditioning.

Food

From apples, avocados, mangoes and oranges. Trees not only provide humans with food but also birds and wildlife.
