CRIME ALERT: New hijack hotspot at Buccleuch interchange

BUCCLEUCH – The Buccleuch interchange in Johannesburg has recently become a hotspot for hijackings.

This according to Lieutenant Colonel Andre de Klerk from Sandton Police Station who said criminals placed stones on the highway late at night so that motorists hit the stones and are forced to stop and inspect their vehicles.

“When you hit the stones it is either your tyre or gearbox that gets damaged and when you stop to inspect your vehicle, you will get robbed at gunpoint and hijacked,” explained De Klerk.
