“The worker was standing on [an adjustable canopy] when he bent over the scaffolding and fell,” said Bramley police spokesperson Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela.
The 45-year-old fell to his death between 11am and 12pm, and paramedics responding to the incident certified him dead on the scene.
Maphakela said an inquest docket into the fatal fall has been opened.
