Singer and guitarist, Bob Fox to perform at Pieter Toerien’s Montecasino theatre

MONTECASINO - UK singer and instrumentalist Bob Fox will perform at the Pieter Toerien Theatre in Montecasino for a limited season from 26 August to 6 September.

Fox is deeply influenced by the working class culture and industrial folk music prevalent in his native county Durham.

For over 40 years, Fox has toured extensively, mostly performing solo routines, but also alongside music heavyweights such as Ralph McTell, Richard Thompson, Billy Mitchell and Fairport Convention.

He was nominated twice as best folk singer in the BBC Folk Awards.

Fox played the role of songman in the national theatre’s multi-award winning West End production of WarHorse and was subsequently in the highly-acclaimed and record-breaking UK, Ireland and South Africa touring version which ended in February this year.

Fox has created a brand new concert performance of all the WarHorse songs in their full versions, combined with some newly written songs from BBC Radio 2’s Ballad of the Great and old favourites from his previous recordings. He will perform his virtuoso guitar style, with his rich voice and newly-acquired melodeon playing skills as he talks and sings through the story of WarHorse.
