Mutual & Federal’s Bryanston branch eases the cold with blanket donation
BRYANSTON - As winter refuses to ease its cold grip on the country, Mutual & Federal’s Bryanston branch joined hands with Landmark DSP, innovators in design, shopfitting and interior design, to donate 150 blankets to the PUSH Foundation on 29 July.

PUSH is a 15-year-old community-based foundation which started as an HIV test centre and evolved to a home-based care center for AIDS and other orphans.
The initiative raised R8 000 to buy blankets for Johannesburg’s most vulnerable citizens. The collaborative effort between the two companies saw them donate 150 blankets to the foundation’s outreach daycare facility and Khaya Centre in Kliptown.
In addition to the funds for the blankets, Mutual & Federal’s Bryanston staff donated a significant number of non-perishable items to the cause.
According to Mutual & Federal’s business development manager Isla Simoes, it was a phenomenal experience. He was glad that Mutual & Federal Bryanston partnered with Landmark DSP to participate in this initiative.
He added that the company has a number of ongoing national initiatives that focus on education, skills and sociology-economic development, and this donation is part of their ongoing activities to demonstrate Mutual & Federal’s spirit and philosophy of care.
Laurna Fisher, managing director of the foundation, expressed gratitude for the donation and said, “The donation will definitely help us as the kids lacked basics, including blankets and mattresses. The centre has been so cold these past two days, so we are very thankful for this donation.”
