Bird sanctuary praises palisade painters

BRYANSTON – Two hard-working men were recently recognised for their efforts on the palisade around the Cumberland Bird Sanctuary in Bryanston.

The two men, Frans Patji and Tebogo Simon Molokomme, have been contracted to work on the palisade for the past few months and will continue to do so until the end of July.

Their contract is part of a programme created by the Department of Public Works which aims to create jobs.

The sanctuary expressed gratitude at the work done and appealed to community members to contribute towards the two workers’ wages for August and September, as their contract with City Parks and the department is coming to an end.

Details: Residents interested in making a contribution can contact Amanda Filocha on 082 903 9848.
