Zuma undergoes procedure to remove gall stones
JOBURG - President Jacob Zuma was admitted to hospital on the evening of 18 July for a scheduled operation to remove gall stones, and he is expected to be discharged from hospital on 19 July.

The Presidency said the procedure was scheduled after the gall stones were discovered during a medical check-up two months ago.
The Presidency said in a press statement, “The President’s work programme did not allow for the procedure to be undertaken earlier. The current period of recess in Parliament and Cabinet has provided this opportunity.”
The Presidency wished Zuma a speedy recovery.
