Family and potjie festival in Parkmore

SANDTON - The Sandton Sports Club, and Rare Disease Society of South Africa invite local residents to attend their annual Mandela Day Potjie and Family Festival on 18 July.

The event will see residents of Sandton and surrounding areas going head-to-head in a potjie cook-off competition, while raising funds and awareness for life-threatening rare diseases. The competition will be judged by a panel of members of the South African Chefs Association.

The festival will also host a plethora of activities for the whole family with a craft beer garden for the adults, and a mini-market to raise funds for the sufferers of rare diseases.

Residents who would like to attend the family festival are required to pay a donation of R10, and are encouraged to bring stationery, colouring books, childrens’ books and puzzles as part of their Mandela Day contributions.
