Poplar Academy combines cultural fun with education

MIDRAND - THE fun never stops at Poplar Academy and 16 May was no different with both an open day and a cultural day taking place at the school.

The school saw it fit to allow children to learn about other cultures in an educational and fun environment.

“[Although it was not a school day] we held the events on 16 May at the school,” said teacher Bonita Visagie speaking on behalf of Poplar Academy.

“The children enjoyed the fun arts and crafts activities, African face painting, song and dance and tasting the delicious food,” she said.
