Call to replace sewerage pipes after spillage

JOBURG - Ward 106 councillor Stephen Moore is preparing to lead a petition to have sewerage pipes in Woodmead, Gallo Manor and Lonehill among other places repaired.

This after a major spillage in the north of Johannesburg.

Moore said he had received reports from residents who have had sewage spilling into their gardens, homes and in the local parks.

He added, “This is something that shouldn’t happen. I have seen sewage in our parks where children are playing.”

Moore mentioned that he would need the co-operation from the local resident who experienced this issue and who could provide details about their experience.

Details: Stephen Moore 084 332 4413.
