Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, the spokesperson for the Bramley police, said the woman was attending a party with her boyfriend when he left her indoors and stepped outside.
“She followed him and found him standing with his ex-girlfriend,” explained Maphakela. “She asked what was going on and the ex-girlfriend started swearing at her. Then the woman picked up a brick and threw it at the ex-girlfriend, but she missed.”
He said the woman then left the boyfriend with his ex-girlfriend and walked away to her shack. “The ex-girlfriend followed the woman and stabbed her with a broken beer bottle,” said Maphakela. He added that the woman was stabbed at the back of her head, on the shoulder and in her right leg four times.
The suspect was arrested in Marlboro and detained at the Bramley Police Station. She is expected to appear in court soon.
