The incident allegedly took place in Illovo when, according to Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela of the Bramley police, the employee went to perform a DSTV installation at Holly Bank Complex.
“According to the employee, the bakkie he was using was locked and all the windows closed when he left it parked on the corner of Rudd Road and Corlett Drive,” the spokesperson said.
Maphakela said that when the employee first returned to the vehicle, a white Nissan bakkie, it was there. It was only after completing the job that the employee realised that the bakkie was missing.
Maphakela confirmed that the police were still investigating the matter.
