‘World-class African city – My foot’.

Robert Goosen writes: Dear Mr Mayor, I would like to issue a challenge to you to spend half a day driving around Sandton with me.

You constantly tell ratepayers that we are living in a ‘world-class African city’.

If that is so then why do we have potholes galore? Roads that desperately need re-tarring. Litter, litter and more litter. Overgrown parks, intersections, islands and kerbs. Stormwater drains that have not been cleaned out for at least 10 years.

Do you perhaps only drive around at night? Because I am sure if you drove around during the day you would notice all of these issues I have listed or is it that you just don’t care?

World-class African city. My foot.
