Proteas go pink for cancer
ILLOVO - The Momentum One-Day International between the Proteas and the West Indies has been bedazzled with pink in support of PinkDrive’s breast cancer awareness initiative.

PinkDrive is an organisation committed to improving breast cancer education and awareness.
A breakfast launch was held at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium in Illovo on 12 January to acknowledge the sponsors and supporters of the charity initiative. The Momentum One-Day International has partnered with Bidvest, Momentum and Cricket South Africa.
“PinkDrive has touched the lives of many people and it could not have been possible without our sponsors and supporters,” said Noelene Kotschan, the founder and director of PinkDrive.
Gert Oosthuizen, the deputy minister of sports and recreation, said, “Breast cancer affects all women of all races. PinkDrive must be commended for their efforts in raising awareness and funds for breast cancer.”
Danie van den Bergh, head of brand Momentum, said, “We are contributing as much as we can. People need to open their pockets as much as their hearts. Show that you are also helping people in need.”
People can show their support by wearing pink on match day, held on 18 January at the stadium, and by sending an SMS to 40158 with the keyword PINKDRIVE to donate R20.
