SANDTON - Sandton woman arrested at Canadian airport for allegedly attacking two female flight attendants

A South African woman was recently arrested over an alleged incident on a flight to Canada.

The woman, identified as Nomantangwa Angel Babhekile Johansson, is allegedly from Sandhurst and was arrested following an incident on a plane where she was accused of assaulting two female flight attendants, the Herald News reported.

Reports further stated that Johansson was taken into custody shortly after the plane landed at Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

She was then charged with behaviour that endangered the safety or security of an aircraft in flight.

Johansson also faces five Criminal Code charges and has since appeared in the Dartmouth Provincial Court on 18 December. Johansson was released on R116 000 bail and the matter is set to continue on 22 January.
