Sandton wins big at cluster awards
SANDTON - The Sandton police won big at the Alexandra Cluster Prestige Awards at the Balalaika hotel in Sandton.

The Alexandra cluster awards honoured top performing officers from five stations within the cluster, namely Sandton, Bramley, Alexandra, Midrand and Sandringham.
Brigadier David Ngcobo, station commander for the Alexandra police, gave the keynote address as the acting cluster commander, and congratulated those who were considered for the awards.
He also appealed to the cluster to improve as a whole and encouraged those who did not win to do better.
“Today management is coming together to recognise those who have worked hard and say ‘well done’ to them,” he said.
“To the recipients of today’s awards, don’t just put the award away, let it give you the power to do even more.”
The Sandton police won five of the nine awards for, among others, top detectives and visible policing while Bramley took two awards. Sandringham and Alexandra police were also recognised at the award ceremony.
