Captain Kym Cloete, spokesperson for the Sandton police, said two pupils were waiting for their school bus when the suspect threatened them with a knife and demanded their cellphones. “He took a Sony Ericsson Experia cellphone and a purse containing cash,” explained Cloete.
She said the pupils screamed for help. The police saw the suspect running and the pupils running after the suspect. The police gave chase and arrested the suspect for robbery.
The suspect has since been detained at the Sandton Police Station and will appear in court soon.
