Police arrest two for Morningside robbery

MORNINGSIDE - The Sandton police successfully apprehended two suspects following a house robbery incident in Morningside.

The incident took place on 22 November in the early hours of the morning when, according to Captain Kym Cloete of the Sandton police, the complainant returned home to find his door half opened.

“He then found the suspects inside his house and at that point, they pointed a knife at him with the intention to stab him,” the spokesperson said.

After ransacking the house, the suspects then fled with valuables including computers, but were eventually apprehended in Morningside Manor by the police still in possession of some of the stolen goods.

Cloete confirmed that the suspects were charged with house robbery and would appear in court. The case continues.
