Mob protests for Mockingjay

SANDTON - The Sandton and Rosebank streets were swarmed with young and excited protesters picketing to promote The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 on 20 November.

Representative from Times Media films Caron Meyer said, “We’re promoting the release of Mockingjay which hits cinemas at 8am on 20 November, so we’re taking a protest mob around Sandton and Rosebank making people aware of the film’s opening and giving out stickers and random prizes.”

Holding up signs that read “The Mockingjay Lives” and showing the District 12 hand signal, the 20 young protesters moved from the Gautrain station in Sandton to Ster Kinekor at the Zone and handed out tickets and invited members of the public to join in.
